At the team, we originally had an overall ten year plan of development. This we split into two five-year phases, the first five years to place the team on a firm footing, the second to develop it to our first really major benchmark, UCI Div 3 registration.

Many of you will be aware, though, of the changes that have taken place in the UK and more importantly in some ways for us, the European scene in the last couple of years, and so we are re-evaluating our aim of UCI registration.

In 2008, we are in year 1 of this re-evaluation phase, which involves the recruitment of new young elite riders.

Year 2 of phase 2 will see us develop those riders, so that there is a readily defined upward career path for them to follow in cycling.

With that in mind, we are looking to either increase the commitment of the existing partners, or to add new partners to the team, to help cover the increased costs that we know will accrue with a larger team, and with a greater commitment to the riders that we have.
