Gordon McCauley

Gordon is a leading professional competitive cyclist having successes both in New Zealand (where he is reigning National Road Race and Time Trial champion) and here the UK, having won the season-long Premier Calender Competition in 1999. For the 2002 season he was team captain at the RDM-Flanders UCI Division 2 team in Belgium. Gordon is currently racing with great success in America.

When asked to describe himself in a few words, Gordon's modest reply was "Approaching perfection". Considering his standing in the sport he may not be far off the mark (well not too far anyway). Apparently his favourite sayings are "Yeah, Baby" and "Tremendous" (well that foreigners for you). His ambition is to ride the Tour de France and his most admired person is Eddy Merkcx. His pet likes are 'winning races, fast cars and sunny days (why did he come to the UK then?!), and his pet hates are coming second, rain and Sunday drivers (I ask again, why did he come to the UK?!)
