Craig-y-Nos Castle stands in the Brecon Beacons National Park Park in the Upper Swansea Valley in South Wales, UK. It has been transformed into a high quality hotel. Storage for bicycles is counted amongst the facilities.

With its stunning location and the carefully preserved ambiance of both a Welsh castle and as the former home of one of the most notable opera singers of her day, Adelina Patti, Craig-y-Nos offers visitors a unique experience. Craig-y-Nos forms the ideal base for on- and off-road cycle tours of the Brecon Beacons, as well as a unique venue for just enjoying an overnight stay, or as a guest at a major function. Live entertainment and banqueting facilities are available to complete the occasion, should you be seeking a venue and facilities for such a function

The lovely setting of Craig-y-Nos Castle also makes it an ideal centre for artists. PAINTING BREAKS and HOLIDAYS are a popular feature of the Craig-y-Nos activity program.

The castle is surrounded by some superb off-road tracks - though there are some challenging hills! You can go for miles through wooded areas, remote mountainous areas, through quarries, along the old disused railway tracks (formerly the old Swansea to Brecon line) with viaducts and interesting ruins high up in the Beacons, past lakes and reservoirs, streams and waterfalls and through loads of sheep country - all without hitting a foot of tarmac! Also, if you are a resident, we waive our fee for mountain bike hire (normally £10/day) and we have up to 7 Mountain Bikes which you and your friends can use FREE!
