The Chain Gang Cycle Tours Limited organise guided cycle tours to some of the most beautiful parts of France.

We tour the Dordogne, the Loire Valley, and the Vineyards of Bordeaux, usually in groups of 10 to 15, staying at comfortable 2** hotels in charming rural France.

The areas we've chosen are rather special, and we've worked hard to develop fascinating itineries. In the Dordogne we visit huge cave systems at Padirac and Proumeyssac, castles from The Hundred Years War at Beynac and Castelnaud, prehistoric sites at Font de Gaume and Le Roque St Christophe. Throughout the week we indulge in foie gras, truffles, wonderful local mushrooms and wines from the Dordogne Valley and Cahors.

Our tour of the Bordeaux Vineyards explores vineyards from the classic wines of Haut Medoc and St Emilion through apellations with growing reputations in the Cotes de Castillons and Fronsac, to hidden treasures like Pecharment (the St Emilion of Bergerac, according to the locals - who are they kidding?) and Monbazillac.

Our tour of the Loire Valley visits some of the most famous and beautiful chateaux in the region, including Chambord and Chenonceau. Throughout July and August the chateaux put on 'son et lumiere spectacle', which live up to their star-billing.

We do some real cycling - about 30 miles a day - but above all we have fun. That's the idea.
