M Steel cycles is owned and run by former Olympian and Commonwealth medalist Joe Waugh and Framebuilder Dave Yates. We have a Shop in Gosforth on the north edge of Newcastle on Tyne and a Framebulding unit in Wallsend Our shop caters for all aspects of cycling from kiddies bikes to top level custom road and mountain bikes. Repairs, normally next day; wheelbuilding, we have a huge stock of rims, spokes and hubs; Shimano Service Centre; CyTech advanced level workshop staff You name it, we’ve got it

The frame building unit builds frames that go all over the world. We have 20 years experience and built well over 10,000 frames. We’ve lost count of the number of National champions, Olympic rides and World Championship rides that have been done on our frames.
